The conserved N-terminal region of Sendai virus nucleocapsid protein NP is required for nucleocapsid assembly.
Sendai virus nucleocapsid protein NP synthesized in the absence of other viral components assembled into nucleocapsid-like particles. They were identical in density and morphology to authentic nucleocapsids but were smaller in size. The reduction in size was probably due to the fact that they contained RNA only 0.5 to 2 kb in length. Nucleocapsid assembly requires NP-NP and NP-RNA interactions....
متن کاملThe RNA binding domain of the hantaan virus N protein maps to a central, conserved region.
The nucleocapsid (N) protein of hantaviruses encapsidates both viral genomic and antigenomic RNAs, although only the genomic viral RNA (vRNA) is packaged into virions. To define the domain within the Hantaan virus (HTNV) N protein that mediates these interactions, 14 N- and C-terminal deletion constructs were cloned into a bacterial expression vector, expressed, and purified to homogeneity. Eac...
متن کاملfrom linguistics to literature: a linguistic approach to the study of linguistic deviations in the turkish divan of shahriar
chapter i provides an overview of structural linguistics and touches upon the saussurean dichotomies with the final goal of exploring their relevance to the stylistic studies of literature. to provide evidence for the singificance of the study, chapter ii deals with the controversial issue of linguistics and literature, and presents opposing views which, at the same time, have been central to t...
15 صفحه اولThe Role of Highly Conserved Tryptophan in the Sixth Conserved Region at Substrate Specificity of α- amylase
Early in this study, an α-Amylase from Bacillus megaterium WHO (BMW) was isolated from hot springs of Ramsar (North of Iran), and its gene was cloned in E.coli. Based on its conserved sequence regions and substrate specificity, it was classified as intermediary group enzymes with the specificity of oligo-1,6-glucosidase and neopullulanase subfamilies. In the sixth conserved re...
متن کاملMutations in conserved domain I of the Sendai virus L polymerase protein uncouple transcription and replication.
To begin to map functional domains of the Sendai P-L RNA polymerase complex we wanted to characterize the P binding site on the Sendai L protein. Analysis of in vitro and in vivo P-L polymerase complex formation with carboxyl-truncations of the L protein showed that the N-terminal half of the protein was required. Site-directed mutagenesis of the Sendai virus L gene was employed to change amino...
